What actually separates the dreamers from the doers is that the dreamers have thought through the resources they will need to execute their vision. For example, starting a business that is based on selling users an app when you do not have any knowledge about how to make apps and don’t know anyone willing to help you, is just not workable.
Think about it, people! Even if you have the money, finding someone these days who can build a great app is virtually impossible. These are the most sought after people on the planet. I mentor would-be app entrepreneurs all the time who don’t think about that one crucial fact.
Most entrepreneurs aren’t aware that your resources are something you must manage on a daily basis. You not only have to make lists of what you don’t have and a plan to obtain those resources, but you also have to believe you can find whatever it is you don’t have. It’s a gut level feeling in your bones.
To paraphrase the American automobile pioneer Henry Ford: there is no man or woman living who can do more than s/he thinks s/he can.
